It's hard for me to come up with words for how wonderful this family is. Sarah has been a friend of my husband and brother in law since junior high school, and over the years we have become great friends as well. She's been my sounding board through getting married, getting pregnant, being a mom, and starting my own business. Jeff is the perfect compliment to Sarah's free spirit and their daughter, Halle, spreads joy to every single person she comes in contact with. I can't tell you how much fun we have when we get together!
When Sarah called me about doing a final family session at their favorite places in Austin, I was thrilled! Not only did I get to work with a family who's on my same wave length creatively, but I also got to work in new locations that helped me strengthen my skill. The new Austin Public Library was our first stop and all I can say is WHOA! Floods of light, lots of color, unique cozy spots- seriously, it was the perfect place to capture this sweet family. And Halle loves reading, so she was in heaven too!
Next we made a stop at a food truck lot for a quick dinner before sunset. Between pizza, lobster rolls, and Hey Cupcakes!, we stuffed our faces, then took a few shots to capture the Stoppers enjoying Austin's awesome food scene.
Last, we headed over to Zilker Park for some cityscape shots in the most beautiful city park in the US. I've always loved this place, but it was so cool to see how other people enjoy the beauty of Zilker. Sarah is an amazing makeup artist, and it was her idea to have a fun play session with Halle. Loved every minute of it!
The Stopper Family will always be a special part of my family. I am sad to see them move onto new adventures in Atlanta, but I am so excited for them to go back to a place that means so much to them. We will miss you Stoppers and we can't wait to come visit!
